There simply is no substitute for good defensive skills. Collision avoidance systems can help reduce the number of crashes, but they will never completely eliminate them. Mindful drivers who are aware of their surroundings help prevent collisions.
Defensive driving is intentionally driving in a way that reduces the risk of an accident. However, there are no regulations on how to drive defensively. The government does not require training on defensive driving, but it is essential for keeping drivers and their vehicles safe.
