This Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG): Overview online training course explores how to safely transport dangerous goods. Chemicals and biological substances are regularly shipped by road, rail, water, and air. Many products pose some danger while being transported.
In order to minimize the risks associated with transporting dangerous goods, and to keep the public and the environment safe, everyone involved in the shipping of dangerous goods must learn about and follow the requirements of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act and the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations.
This course provides an overview of the responsibilities of employers, consignors, carriers, and consignees under the TDG Regulations, as well as the requirements for classifying products, required documentation, the use of safety marks, and emergency reporting.
