The Driver Training Series is a collection of training programs which emphasize the essential skills necessary for staying safe on the road. This series is appropriate for all levels of drivers, from the entry-level to the veteran driver.

Accident Procedures is designed to help drivers understand what to do after being involved in (or witnessing) an accident. Specifically, it covers the procedures drivers should follow in order to safely and legally deal with the situation in a short period of time

After completing this program, learners will be able to:

• Discuss the specific procedures to follow after an accident occurs
• Explain what to do once allowed to leave the scene of an accident

To help prevent loss of human life in a workplace shooting incident, companies and individual employees must take steps to plan and prepare for these types of events.

This active shooter training program helps empower employees to anticipate and recognize an active shooter/threat situation and respond appropriately and immediately if they are ever faced with one. Specifically, it covers the warning signs of workplace violence, how to recognize the presence of a threat, the best course of action to take based on individual abilities and location, and the steps individuals should follow when law enforcement arrives.

Improper brake adjustment is the most common reason tractor-trailers are placed out of service. Brake violations in general are among the most common vehicle violations written at the roadside. These defects and failures shouldn't happen with a well-maintained and regularly inspected vehicle. A professional CMV driver must ensure the brakes are working properly before every trip.

Air Brakes Training is designed to help drivers understand how the brake system works, how to properly inspect the brake system, and how to use brakes correctly so they don't wear too fast or fail when needed most.

After completing this course, learners will be able to:

• Explain air brake systems and how they work
• Describe how to inspect the brake system
• Explain how to use brakes correctly to prevent early wear and failure

Section 382.601 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs) requires motor carriers to provide educational materials explaining the alcohol and drug regulations to their drivers. Motor carriers must also provide educational materials explaining the motor carrier's alcohol and drug policies and procedures. This course helps satisfy these requirements as mandated by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).

The course covers the eleven items required by the regulation including alcohol and drug prohibitions, the types of tests required, testing procedures, consequences of violating the prohibitions, and the effects of alcohol abuse and drug use.

After completing this course, learners will be able to:

In its basic terms, an arc flash is a short circuit and air is the conductor. Arc faults are similar to arc welding. Arc burns are the result of high temperatures produced by electric arcs or by explosions close to the body. If the current involved is great enough, these arcs can cause injury or can start a fire. Arc burns are similar to burns and blisters produced by any high temperature source.

This training is designed to educate unqualified employees (those who are not trained to work on or near exposed, energized parts) on the real, and dangerous, possibility of being injured by an arc flash.

After completing the Arc Flash/Arc Blast Safety & Awareness training, learners will be able to:

This program is designed to provide learners with proper stretching techniques and a stretching routine to improve back strength and flexibility.

• Discuss specific back exercises and the benefits of each

This course is designed to help learners address the importance of lifelong back safety and proper lifting techniques they can use both on and off the job.

After completing this course, learners will be able to:

• Discuss various types of back pain and identify what causes it
• Demonstrate how to properly perform everyday tasks to prevent back pain and injuries
• Recognize steps you can take to prevent back injuries

This program is designed to help learners address the importance of lifelong back safety and engage in proper back flexibility warm-up exercises.

• Describe when, where, and how to stretch safely
• Apply a safe back stretching regimen to his/her warm-up routine

The Straight Truck Series is a collection of training programs which emphasize the essential skills necessary for staying safe on the road while operating a straight truck. This series is appropriate for all levels of truck drivers, from the entry-level to the veteran driver operating any type of straight truck.

Backing & Parking training is designed to help drivers understand the techniques that will help them avoid an accident or incident while backing and parking straight trucks. It addresses procedures drivers need to follow to avoid collisions, including causes, preventative measures, overhead obstructions, and good parking and backing techniques.

After completing this program, learners will be able to:

• Discuss how to avoid a fixed object collision while backing or parking
• Apply proper driving techniques to safely back and park a straight truck
• Identify ground-level, eye-level and overhead obstructions that have the potential to make contact with their truck

The Driver Training Series is a collection of training programs which emphasize the essential skills necessary for safe CMV operation. This series is appropriate for all levels of drivers, from the entry-level to the veteran driver.

Truck backing counts as a very small percentage of a driver's driving time. But, the most common, and sometimes most costly, crashes or incidents in trucking involve backing. Backing incidents don't just damage trailers, buildings, and other equipment; sometimes they're fatal.

This program is designed to help reduce the number of backing accidents by teaching drivers how to recognize the dangers of backing and provide expert-level backing procedures. It covers the proper procedures for each backing maneuver, including straight-line, alley dock, sight-side jackknife, and blind-side jackknife backing and parallel parking.

After completing this program, learners will be able to:

• Recognize the dangers of backing
• Recall general backing guidelines
• Apply good backing techniques and appropriate backing maneuvers based on the situation

Canada Hours of Service Training: Basics is designed to cover the fundamentals of hours-of-service regulations and what it means to be regulated. Drivers will learn what types of activities they are expected to keep track of, and which are considered on-duty or off-duty. They will learn the importance of tracking rest cycles and the amount of work they’ve completed, which will help them determine if they are safe and legal to drive.

After completing this training, learners will be able to:

• Identify who the hours-of-service regulations apply to
• Recognize the purpose of the hours-of-service regulations
• Differentiate between on-duty and off-duty activities
• Explain how hours-of-service violations affect driver abstracts and carrier profiles

Canada Hours of Service Training: Limits South of 60^th Parallel is designed to help drivers operating south of 60°N comply with the hours-of-service limits by ensuring they understand how each of the limits or clocks work together. It will also help them to avoid operating a commercial motor vehicle when fatigued by knowing when to take a break and when to rest to restart their hours.

After completing this training, learners will be able to:

• Recognize how fatigue requires drivers to stop driving even if they have hours left to legally operate
• Describe how the 16-hour window is calculated
• Identify which duty status the 13-hour limit tracks
• Explain how the 14-hour limit is calculated
• Identify off-duty requirements
• Describe Cycle 1, 70-hour/7-day cycle and Cycle 2, 120-hour/14-day cycle
• Recognize the restart period for each cycle

Canada Hours of Service Training: Limits North of 60^th Parallel is designed to help drivers operating north of 60°N comply with the hours-of-service limits by ensuring they understand how each of the limits or clocks work together. It will also help them to avoid operating a commercial motor vehicle when fatigued by knowing when to take a break and when to rest to restart their hours.

After completing this training, learners will be able to:

• Recognize how fatigue requires drivers to stop driving even if they have hours left to legally operate
• Describe how the 20-hour window is calculated
• Identify which duty status the 15-hour limit tracks
• Explain how the 18-hour limit is calculated
• Identify off-duty requirements
• Describe the 80 hour/7 day cycle and the 120 hour/14 day cycle
• Recognize the restart period for each cycle

Canada Hours of Service Training Module 4: Record of Duty Status is designed to teach drivers when each type of record can be used and how each is evaluated during a roadside inspection. It also helps drivers with planning their trips to avoid violations.

After completing this course, learners will be able to:

• Describe how to use trip planning to achieve successful time management
• Explain how supporting documents are used to validate recorded hours
• Identify when to keep track of their hours using an ELD, manual log, or time record
• Recognize how roadside inspection expectations differ between ELDs, manual logs, and time records
